Russian antitrust clears ESN Group to buy 65.43% in RBC
MOSCOW, May 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has cleared Grigory Beryozkin’s energy investment company ESN Group to buy 65.43% in media holding RBC from tycoon Mikhail Prokhorov, the service said on Friday.
“Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has cleared Sotol Project’s application to buy 65.43% voting shares in RBC,” the antitrust said. Sotol Project was also cleared to buy 80.463% in RBC Online, which focuses on advertising.
ESN Group said earlier that Sotol Project is part of the group.
ESN Group owns two oil loading terminals, 50.5% in power trader Rusenergosbyt and controls power supplier Rusenergoresource. In 2007, the group acquired a controlling stake in publishing house Komsomolskaya Pravda.
